"Bernhardt on Broadway" is 
a one-woman musical with twelve showstopping songs about the Divine Sarah Bernhardt.

Our St. Francis Seniors group has reserved 25 seats.  Join us.  The cost is $20.00 each ticket/seat.    Before Thursday, December 22 deliver your $20 cash/check to the Parish Office, payable to "St. Francis" and note: "Seniors" or "Bernhardt on Broadway". Transportation is on-your-own. We will meet at the door of Morris Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College.   First come, first serve.  When your payment is received by St. Francis Parish Office then your ticket will be reserved, and, you will get your ticket when you meet us at the door of Morris Lawrence Building at WCC.  Questions? “Rembrant and the Face of Jesus”

We will depart at 10:00AM from the front of St. Francis Church & arrive back by 4:30PM. Transportation & Museum admission with self guided audio tour: Total cost: is $31.00. Lunch at 11:30 pay on your own at the Café DIA.  (Lunch prices vary between $6 to $11.  Please, remember your lunch money.  No bag lunches allowed in the museum.)

                               Traditional Thanksgiving Meal ($10.00.)

With a presentation for Veterans Day called “Nursing in the Middle East” by
Casey Kinser a member of St. Francis Parish.
An experience of nursing in Saudi Arabia, etc… the religious difficulties faced while living in the Middle East.
(Every one is welcome to the program even if you cannot stay for lunch.)

Recognition Mass and Luncheon
is Friday, September 23, 2011, at 11:00 a.m.
at St. Mary Parish, Chelsea (14200 E. Old US Highway 12).
The event will begin with the celebration of Mass
at 11:00 a.m. and conclude following lunch.   
An offering is expected for the luncheon. 
Suggested donation of $8 is greatly appreciated.

Seniors' Afternoon of Reflection May 25, 2011

Wednesday, May 25, 2011.  Parish Seniors – The Washtenaw Catholic Council on Aging will sponsor an  Afternoon of Reflection (1–3:30pm) hosted by St. Mary Parish, 210 West Main St., Manchester, MI  48158.    The theme is "The New Translation of the Mass". There will be a presentation and discussion, and Mass celebrated by Fr. Timothy D. Krzyzaniak, Pastor at St. Mary Parish.      Please RSVP by May 17, 2011, to Scott Wright (734-821-2121).

Chairperson Position Description:
(Proposal by Scott Wright on Wednesday, July 6, 2011.)

The Chairperson(s) of the Senior Leadership Committee is:
1. a witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our community.
2. calling together persons interested in living Catholic faith.
3. facilitating meetings (about once a month).
4. preparing an agenda in consultation with committee members and the Director of Social Ministry at St. Francis.
5. delegating the position of secretary, for recording meeting minutes, Etc.
6. leading the committee to turn in goals for each academic year to the Director of Social Ministry by October 1st.

The director of parish social ministry at St. Francis is responsible for:
1. supporting and assisting the Committee Chairperson(s).
2. publicity in the parish weekly forum and Mass announcements.
3. reserving rooms for meetings and events.
4. major communications to the community and public.
5. communicating with the pastor about needs.
6. delegating the position of committee chairperson.

Term Limit: Two Years (renewable)
