A Special Notice for Older Adults of the Parish:

The Washtenaw Catholic Council on Aging with the Diocese of Lansing has scheduled the annual Senior Recognition Mass and Luncheon for Thursday, September 20, 2012. The hosting parish is St. John the Baptist Church, 411 Florence Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan 48197. The event will begin with the celebration of Mass with Bishop Mengeling at 11:00a.m., and will conclude with lunch. Suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated. Due to fire regulations of the hall at the hosting parish, a limited number of seats are available. A reservation is required to attend. No Walk Ins are welcome. Please consider carpooling as parking is limited. Washtenaw Catholic Council on Aging greatly appreciates your cooperation in this matter. All Senior Citizens are invited to our educational, devotional, & entertaining events.

The purpose of our monthly seniors' gathering is to create an environment for senior citizens at St. Francis Parish to socialize and grow together in community and in the love of Jesus. It is our "youth group".

Mass at 9:15AM Tuesday in the lower level chapel. And, after Mass join us: for special events... announced here on this blog & in our parish weekly bulletin FORUM.

Our public meetings are normally on second Tuesday of the month, Tuesdays at 10AM. Some of our gatherings are in the Parish Activities Center, and often include, a light lunch at about 11:30AM. (The cost for lunch is published with the announcements.)

Come Join our leadership team members & enjoy growing in friendship, while at the same time planning educational, devotional, & entertaining events for the St. Francis Parish senior citizens.
